Surface voltage of battery (V) should be at least 12,60 V.
If V is lower than 12,60 V;
Sulphation and/or Corrosion
If V is more than 12,60 V;
Proper
Appropriate charging voltage of alternator should be between 13,80 - 14,40 V (recommended) in automobile batteries. Voltage values should be measured separately for batteries of buses-heavy vehicles.
If voltage value produced by alternator is below the factory value;
Sulphation
If the voltage value produced by the alternator is above the default value;
OverCharce
Value and time of current (a) drawn by starting motor should be checked.
If starting current of vehicle is above factory values;
Sulphation in Long-Term Use
If the cranking duration of the vehicle is above the default value;
Corrosion and/or OverCharge
WHEN VEHICLE IS IN PARKING POSITION FIXED CONSUMPTION SHOULD BE 20 mA AT MAXIMUM FOR AUTOMOBILES AND 80 mA FOR BUSES-HEAVY VEHİCLES.
If consumption is higher than 20 mA for automobiles;
Sulphation in Long-Term Use
If it is above 80 mA for the buses and heavy vehicles;
Corrosion and/or OverCharge
